GUR(JAGGERY) PARE

This is a Punjabi delicacy prepared specillsp in weddings.
So here is the recipe. I wish you will enjoy while making as well as eating this.

Ingredients required are below:-
Maida(white flour) - 250 gm
Oil or Ghee - 1/2 cup ( kneading)
Fennel(saunf) - 1 tpsp
Jaggery- 150gm
Oil or Ghee for frying 


Preparation:-
First of all sieve the maida and add 1/2 cup of ghee or oil for kneading the dough. Use water accordingly for kneading the dough. But keep the dough jus average, not so hard and not so soft .
Keep it aside for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile prepare the jaggery syrup for Paras. Cut out jaggery in very small pieces that while heating it in water it will get melt or you can make a powder also.
Take 2 cups of water in a pan and heat it . After that add jaggery and heat it for at least 5 to 10 minutes till it comes out as a smooth syrup and in last add fennel seeds or fennel powder. N keep it aside.
Now  take out the dough and make small balls of maida. Now with the help of rolling pin start rolling the maida ball. 
Now there are two options of making Paras.
One is that you will roll the maida ball and keep it at least half inch thick and cut into square pieces.
Second is roll the maida ball on a flat surface , then apply ghee on whole rolled surface and make it into layers. And then cut it.
Depends upon your taste, if you want layered or flat ones.
After cutting it into pieces , fry it into oil or ghee.
After frying it add these Paras to jaggery syrup and let it dip into syrup for 15-20 minutes.
